Reference to The Obama effect: poll #’s

In my post about The Obama effect, I mentioned the early polling in Fall 2007 and January 2008; referring to the 68% support for Hillary among Black women.

Check out how the CNN host finishes his report. 

I’m amused that for CNN the story is about the black vote, that black women don’t just rely on race, they vote as women too; or so we’re told. It’s simply replacing one tribal bias with another but ok?

MEANWHILE, the story could easily have been, what seems to me the more interesting angle, the balanced split among Black men, 42% for Hillary vs 46% for Obama, a virtual tie, a triumph over race and gender. There’s less virtue in that? If you are CNN and your programming has become shameless placating, then I guess the answer is yes.
